Please, pray for my husband.

Postby Rain on Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:28 am

About a month ago my husband had a mole removed at the dermatologist's office, which isn't unusual because he has about a zillion of 'em, and he's always been super paranoid about his health, hence this about the twentieth mole he's gotten removed since I've known him. There's never been any problems until today. The doctor's office called and said he has squamous cell carcinoma. Luckily, it's been caught at an early stage and the survival rate is usually very good. Husband has to go in for more test and consultation next week (same as my mom's cancer surgery).

Pray that this doesn't turn into a nightmare. I admit that my prayer life is sadly pathetic right now and has been for a while. I could really use some spiritual bouying up from all of you. Thanks and God bless.

I will remember him during the Novena.

I will also yourself Deanna that you may be flooded and drowned in prayer graces and so become the best lady of prayer of the entire United States, perhaps the entire world.

You have to be ambitious with Our Lady, her love encourages it. :D

Deanna,
I too find it hard to keep going at times but I think the most powerful prayers are said when you feel like this because it takes effort. I as I said will be praying for all your intentions during my novena.

God bless

Deanna, the cancer chasing bit is very trying. My husband's torso looks like he's been shot a multitude of times because of the scape and burns they continue to do on him.
They caught this one on your husband early (blessings abound) and there are very good odds they can over come it. I too will pray for his full recovery in this and that your interior life will take on a momentum in prayer that you had never expected. You know that bumper sticker you would see every where years ago, "Expect a Miracle", embrace it!
If you want something you never had, you must be willing to do something you have never done.
Everything starts from prayer.

Husband went to doctor. They think they got it all. At this point, nothing other than regular check-ups will be needed. Whew.

Thanks you for your prayers. :)
